Appropriate plant nutrition and the use of organic amendment such as amino acids have a significant impact on the growth, yield and quality of agricultural products. This study was carried out to investigate the effect of NPK fertilizer, foliar application of amino acids (organamin) and some micronutrients on vegetative, qualitative characteristics, leaf elements and physiological disorders of pomegranate (cv. Maykhosh). The experiment was laid out in a factorial experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replications. Treatments include soil application of NPK fertilizer in three levels (0, 20 and 40 g per tree ) and foliar application of amino acid (organamine) and micronutrients fertilizer separately (0, 1 and 2 g micronutrients fertilizer per L, 2 and 3 organamine per L). The results indicated that the interaction of NPK fertilizer and foliar application of amino acids and micronutrients were significant on leaf length, number of fruits per tree, shoot length, shoot diameter, number of nodes per shoot, yield, fruit juice content, total sugar, sunburn percentage, rot percentage, cracking percentage, leaf nutrients concentration (i.e., N, P, K, Ca and Fe). Also the effect of different levels of NPK fertilizer were significant on the leaf chlorophyll content, number of leaves per shoot, diameter, shape and weight of fruit, aril weight, fruit volume, peel thickness, aril percentage, soluble solids content, fruit juice volume, flesh weight to fruit juice, flesh percentage, peel to flesh ratio and concentration of manganese (Mn) and zinc (Zn) in leaves. In addition, the effect of amino acid and micronutrients application was significant on number of leave per shoot, leaf area, diameter and shape of fruit, peel thickness, aril percentage, pH, flesh percentage, peel to flesh ratio and concentration of Mn and Zn in leaves. However, the effective treatment was at application of 40 g NPK per tree with foliar application of 2 g micronutrients fertilizer. As a result, use of NPK fertilizer in combination with foliar application of amino acid improved vegetative growth, yield and fruit quality, concentration of elements in leaf and reduced physiological disorders such as fruit cracking and fruit sunburn, significantly.
