With the increase in human need for energy and the observation of the environmental harm of fossil fuels, the use of new methods for using renewable and clean energy increased, and solar energy is one of the cleanest and most accessible energy sources. Solar energy is widely used in the world to produce electricity, heat and water desalination. Solar energy is a basic source of renewable energy, and depending on how to absorb and distribute solar energy or convert it into solar electricity, its technologies are divided into passive solar and active solar. Active solar techniques include the use of photovoltaic systems, concentrated solar energy, and solar water heating to harness energy. In this research, the optimal location of the photovoltaic solar power plant in order to introduce potential areas for the implementation of solar power plant construction plans in order to produce energy in the end zone of the plain. Yazd Ardakan has been investigated in the border between Ardakan and Meibod and in this study using topographical data including height, slope and slope directions as well as water and meteorological parameters including temperature, precipitation, relative humidity, sunshine hours, Wind speed and direction, frosty days, cloudy days, dusty days, in 4 stations of Aqda, Meybod, Yazd and Mehriz and limitation layers including faults, urban limits, protection zones and roads. First, all the layers related to the extracted criteria were prepared and interpolated, and after normalizing the data, the weights related to the parameters were extracted through the AHP method with the approach of pairwise comparisons, and at the end, by combining the maps, the degree of land suitability was obtained. Also, in order to extract the most effective parameters, sensitivity analysis was also done. The integration process was carried out with two scenarios including without considering the limitations and considering the limitations of the study. The results showed that the integration of maps without restriction layers, poor suitability for building a solar power plant in 23.5% of areas, average suitability in 26.7% of areas, good and excellent suitability in 30.7% and 19.24% of areas, respectively. There is Yazd-Ardakan plain. Thus, if we do not consider the layer of restrictions, 19.2% of Yazd Ardakan Plain, which is more similar to Mibod and Yazd regions, is suitable for the construction of a solar power plant. Considering the layer of restrictions, 15.5% has average fit, 8 and 2.8% has good and excellent fit. Considering the obtained results, with the addition of the restriction layer, only 2.8% of Yazd-Ardakan plain areas are perfect for the construction of solar power plants, and these areas should be prioritized in planning for the construction of power plants. These areas are mostly located in the eastern and western marginal parts of Maybod and Yazd cities. Considering the sensitivity analysis, it was also found that by changing the weights to equal or greater weights for the climatic parameters, the amount of poor land suitability increased by 3% and the amount of land with excellent suitability decreased.
